The school holds formal assemblies at the beginning and close of each term. These are formal activities that give the Headmistress and the staff the opportunity to welcome students back from holidays and to the resumption of academic work. Similarly the headmistress gets the opportunity to close the school for the term. School assemblies are compulsory for all students and staff members. Morning assemblies are officiated by the school chaplain or teacher on duty and assisted by the chapel prefect on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
SPEECH AND PRIZE GIVING DAY

HANDING OVER OF ELECTED PREFECTS
This takes the form of a service;the school Chaplain admonishes the prefects through the word of God. The outgoing prefects then hand over their mantles of office to the incoming ones after which they are inducted into office.
This takes place once a year.It affords especially students who are orthodox faith (Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodist and Anglicans)who have not been confirmed the opportunity to do so.
CADET HANDING OVER PARADE
This also affords outgoing officers to hand over to new officers who will steer the affairs of the Naval Cadet. This is often done by a Naval Cadet Officer from the Navy Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence.
A carol service is organized by the Chaplaincy and Music department of the School every December, before students go home for Christmas holidays. Neighbouring Schools and other choral groups are invited
